The People
HTG’s Technical Services team includes a Senior Food Technologist, a
Quality Assurance Technician, a Technical Document Coordinator and an Administrative
Assistant. This team is instrumental in maintaining high quality standards
for industrial ingredients and providing timely technical guidance in assisting
our customers with their processing challenges.
Sourcing Quality Ingredients
Supplier Approval: Technical Services assesses all ingredient partners first
for their Quality Management Policy & Procedures, Food Safety & HACCP
Systems, Manufacturing Quality Systems, Regulatory Compliance and Service
Level. Relationships are formed with those suppliers that meet HTG’s
supplier requirements.
Ingredient Approval: All new ingredients are evaluated for quality and integrity.
Once approved by our technical team, authorization to import is granted.
Certified Quality Ingredients and Custom Blended Products
Ingredients: All ingredients are received with a Certificate of Analysis. Results
are verified with internal specifications. Any non-conformances are reviewed
with the ingredient manufacturer. A Certificate of Analysis accompanies each
shipment guaranteeing the ingredient meets HTG’s specifications and
more importantly, they meet our customer’s standards.
Custom Blended Products: HTG’s custom blending operation gives our customers
the flexibility to manage their manufacturing costs and delivers quality products
in a timely manner. Food Safety and Security is monitored through our effective
HACCP and GMP programme. Our high standards are continually monitored and confirmed
by our customer audits.
Food Safety and Security
Harold T. Griffin Inc. is a registered FDA food facility. We monitor our partners’ food
security policy and procedures. All ingredients and products are received by
lot numbers and are traceable to the country of origin. Our Food Safety and
Security Programme guarantee the supply of safe food ingredients and products
for our customers.
Innovative Product Development
At HTG, we have the expertise to create new products, assist in introducing
new line extensions, conduct pilot blends, or brainstorm new opportunities
for growing your business. Our highly skilled technologists will assist your
company in taking your new product ideas from concept to launch.
Training
Product Knowledge Training: Our Technical team trains every employee in a series
of Product Knowledge Training sessions. These sessions cover the manufacturing
process, product specifications, the variety and product grade, and food application.
Continuous Improvement Training:
Monthly training sessions are conducted for the employees
in collaboration with Operations.
Topics focus on the Good Manufacturing and Warehousing Practices
that continuously improve the quality of our process.
Regulatory Compliance
Health Canada and CFIA annually upgrade the Canadian regulations
for food manufacturers, importers and marketers. HTG monitors
and reviews these changes. We assure our customers HTG is
supplying ingredients and blended products that meet the
Canadian Food and Drug Regulations as well as all other
government directives and rulings.
Customer Concerns
HTG strives to satisfy our customer’s requirements
so we welcome all suggestions, comments and complaints.
HTG’s customer complaint team addressed all customer
concerns with immediate attention. Each complaint is investigated
thoroughly. The team discusses methods for prevention and
improvement. Modifications are implement for adherence.
A written response outlining the corrective measure taken
is delivered to the customer’s satisfaction.
